I’m going to be leaving my job at Kabletown soon, and I uploaded an up to date resume to CareerBuilder as part of my job search. Who was the most aggressive about recruiting me? Kabletown!

I’ve been emailed and called at least a dozen times with requests to interview, and none of the recruiters seem to every look past my name and education on my resume otherwise they’d see that I ALREADY WORK HERE.

Since I have lined up a new job and put in my notice, I did get an email today on my personal email account, which I’ve decided to have some fun with by responding to with my work email account…

I appreciate the emails and calls about the position at [Kabletown] at the Germantown Best Buy. I’ve been contacted by recruiters via careerbuilder.com several times as a matter of fact.

However, as you can see by this email, I am already employed by [Kabletown], and I did enter [Kabletown] as my current employer on that careerbuilder.com profile.

In fact, I had spoken to my supervisor about this position over a month ago, and was turned down without qualification. As a result I began searching for employment outside of the company and will vacate my current position next week.

Please more carefully review such information in the future to avoid another instance such as this.

Did I tell you I had a baby?

Well I did.

Her name is Emaline. She was born May 21, 2010. 7 pounds, 14 ounces, 21 inches long.

She has been a pretty cool baby so far.

This line has been pretty popular with a lot of powet readers and while we had a few news stories, podcast discussions, and forum threads dedicated to it, I actually got to turn in the first (long overdue!) video review. I intend to continue collecting heroes from this line, so hopefully I’ll get to return to the subject soon. I’m pretty satisfied with the quality of the video, as well as the reaction from fans.
